Kids' Health

The Washington Post

The Washington Post's Kids' Health section pairs two stories on raising healthier kids: the food mistakes that quietly backfire, and why active play between grandparents and grandchildren benefits both generations, not just the kids.

The cover carries both ideas at once: a kid framed inside a heart made of hands, surrounded by fruit and vegetable characters and play equipment, so care and nourishment read as one image instead of two separate headlines. The same characters carry into the interior spreads: food characters swimming through a river for the eating-habits piece, a ball pit crowded with grandparent and grandkids for the play piece, so the section reads as one connected world.
